Iran on the Brink of Nuclear Weapons
The International Atomic Energy Agency has a bombshell report on the state of Iran’s nuclear program: the nation is on the brink of nuclear capability. The Washington Post reports that secret intelligence given to U.N. nuclear officials shows that Iran has mastered the “critical steps” involved in the process. The nuclear proliferation issue should be a top priority for global leaders, as well as recalling light arms. Small weapons perpetuate the starvation and massacres in destabilized Africa. The reason Iran started a nuclear program in the first place dates back to the 1980-1987 Iran-Iraq war, when we(Rumsfield/Cheney et al) gave chemical weapons of mass destruction (along with Germany, Switzerland, the UK and others) to Saddam Hussein to ultimately retain control over the oil fields of Basra. Iran, although larger, ostracized and in turmoil, was losing the war as we allowed Hussein to gas over a million Irani troops, many still struggling to breathe today. Russia, North Korea and China were their allies at the time. China and the USA are the largest manufacturer of small arms, distributed world-wide. (Ask Al Gore).
