LET US IN! Keep Big Money out of Government.

George Washington did not want to have political parties. He thought they would become divisive and corrupt and fail to
represent the will of the people. Well, that was before BIG MEDIA got involved. Owned by massive conglomerates, the
"news" is no longer objective and in-depth, but carries out the
message of its biggest owners.

The environment and the economic welfare of the American
people is in dire jeopardy, yet squabbling on one side and
cowardice on the other, have created leadership that will not
take a moral stand.

I hope to change all that. I encourage every ordinary, sensible,
thoughtful person to run for office- local, PTO, state level- it doesn't matter. Petitions won't create change. Demonstrations will be censored by the mainstream media. LET US IN!

Losing Postal Jobs? Or not?

Earlier this month, the U.S. Postmaster General told Congress that the USPS is close to default, unveiling a series of radical proposals to cut costs including massive job cuts and reducing delivery days. Many postal workers are calling this a manufactured crisis and are protesting across the country today. For more, we host a debate on the issue. Do you believe the USPS crisis is manufactured? What should be done?
www.youtube.com
Democracy Now! hosts a debate between Gene del Politico, President of the Association for Postal Commerce, and Chuck Zlatikin, of the NY Metro Area Postal Union, on whether or not the USPS is really facing a crisis, and if so, how they can avoid the cuts to jobs and services currently on the table.

We launched the sign-up component of the program in May, and more than 1,100 scientists, from all around the U.S., already have signed up to volunteer in classrooms. Now, educators can use the service to locate sci-tech-engineering-math professionals. Working together, scientists and teachers can help build a better future for our students and our country.

  • In America, babies enter the world with the love of their parents and dozens of dangerous toxic chemicals -- including fire retardants, lead and pesticides -- in their blood. Chemicals are polluting even our newborns.
Unfortunately, U.S. laws regulating toxic chemicals are woefully inadequate. But you can help Enivormental Defense team fix these broken laws. We've developed an advocacy campaign called Not A Guinea Pig, with the single goal of pressuring Congress to create effective chemical safety laws.

Eric Cantor and House Republicans are holding up aid for disaster survivors. Tell Congress to pass disaster relief right now! They are also blocking job creation in the hopes of attracting voters! How attractive!

  • The science is clear: If we don't take the necessary steps to curb global warming NOW, summer sea ice in the Arctic Ocean could soon disappear ... plants and animals will face extinction of epic proportions ... and entire ecosystems will be lost forever. The threats to humans will be just as great -- contaminated drinking water, widespread disease, devastating weather and dangerous summer heat.
